The Memorial Hall has facilities for everyone. Welcoming, spacious, versatile, affordable and accessible. An ideal venue for your class, event or function, whether it’s a music concert, theatre production, conference, children’s parties or the local Horticultural Show!

Regular activities include:-

Ballet, Tap and Jazz dance classes • Zumba classes • Pilates, there are currently three different classes running • Ceilidhs • Committee and other Meetings • AGM's • 10K Run Base 1st Sunday in May • Table Top Sales on Wednesday Market Day

A Potted History

The Memorial Hall itself was previously known as the Toll Booth, standing where the Hall now stands from 1695. In 1254 a Market Charter was granted.

Our Rooms

This is a great venue for meetings and private functions. When you hire a room at the Hall your fee goes towards the upkeep of the Hall.

Wednesday Market

The Market is held each Wednesday on the cobbled area of the Market Place. We have regular stallholders throughout the year.
